Guitar Teacher: Rock, Blues, and Folk Fingerstyle 
Derrick has been playing the guitar for twenty-eight years now, and teaching for nineteen. He’s played in a variety of original and cover bands, and written a number of songs on his own. He also has a self-published book for beginning guitar players available for sale at beginnerguitarlessons.com.
On the weekends, Derrick plays in a cover band called Element 78 which plays all over New England at night clubs, parties, and weddings. You can find out more information about his band at www.element78band.com if you’re interested in seeing where they perform.
Derrick also works as a sub guitarist for original and cover bands. In the past few years, he’s done last minute sub gigs for P.D. Rogers, Woot, Dick and Jane, Grumpy Jones, and Double Take – all top notch cover bands that play out 3-5 times a month.
