Michael Prentky has been a freelance performer, educator and studio musician in Boston for over a decade. He actively performs with and manages Mozambican funk band Kina Zoré, plays with the Seajun Kwon Walking Cliché Sextet, Balkan-influenced Sarma Brass Band, musical pit orchestras, jazz groups, wedding bands, and appears on many albums as a studio musician. Michael attended New England Conservatory for his Bachelor’s in Jazz Performance with their Music-In-Education certificate and also a Master’s Degree in Jazz Performance.  He has taught all ages from 5-85, specializing in trumpet, trombone, tuba, euphonium, improvisation, music theory, composition, arranging, digital music production and music business. In lessons, students build a strong foundation in instrumental technique and apply that to learning music and projects that are most exciting to them.
